Petition to vote in proportion to the individual taxes paid.

The total (Federal + State + Local) tax burden in the US today is about $17,000/per person/per year.

Every person that pays the average $17,000 in taxes gets 1 vote each election as is done now.
A person that pays $34,000 in taxes gets 2 votes. A person that pays no taxes has no vote. A person that pays $51,000 gets 3 votes, etc.

Let the people that are actually paying for the Government decide how the Government is run.

If you only pay $17,000 in taxes and you really want to have a greater voice in how the Govt is run, then you can voluntarily pay an additional $17,000 in taxes and get the 2 votes. (Or voluntarily pay an extra $34,000, a total of $51,000 in taxes and get 3 votes, etc.)

If any citizen wishes to pay no taxes, you may do so, but you lose your right to vote as long as you pay no taxes.
