Plymouth Citybus have announced that they will be terminating the 46 and 47 bus services along with the 46s and 47s,from april 2011.The 46s and 47s are buses specifically for school children. The 46/47 bus services are crucial to this city as they provide for many the only direct bus route to Derriford Hospital,Asda,The Dockyard, local secondary schools, the list is endless. It is a valuable service that is used by young and old alike from people going to work, people attending appointments and children travelling to school. If this service is terminated many school children will have to make ridiculously long journeys to school in some cases taking up to three different buses. Many old and vunerable people will be forced to travel on multiple buses to attend medical appointments at, may I add an increased cost to what the current fare is on the 46/47. Citybus have not listened to the people of plymouth and have neither consulted customers nor thought about how the cessation of this service will effect people on a day to day basis. If you agree that Plymouth Citybus along with Plymouth City Council need to urgently review this desision please add your name to this petition.
