Vicky Silva is one of the finest instructors and administrators that LACHSA has ever had. She is a brilliant theatre teacher and production director whose resume in theatre movement is virtually unparalleled in the United States. Furthermore, her 20 years of service to LACHSA students and the LACHSA community, culture and legacy have more than earned her a secure and ongoing role as a core instructor in the theatre department and director of LACHSA theatre productions for both the immediate and long term future.
Replacing Vicky for Theatre Movement classes at LACHSA would be a tragic and wholly unnecessary mistake. She is one of the school's most dedicated and veteran Arts teachers, and her position, classes and productions should be preserved and secured.
We, the Undersigned, urge the LACHSA Theatre Arts Chair, Arts High Foundation and LACHSA Administration to take whatever steps are necessary to ensure that Vicky Silva's classes, position and responsibilities are continued in full at LACHSA for as long as she is willing and available to teach. LACHSA should be seeking to maximize and expand theatre student exposure to instruction and education by Vicky Silva, not to diminish it.

I attended LACHSA in '97 and had the privilege of being under Ms. Silva's tutiledge. To this day, I utilize her exercises to gain physical and emotional balance. She was/is an inspiration to us all.
