There has been a lot of controversy regarding the release of the movie "The Da Vinci Code", based on a novel by Mr Dan Brown.

This movie, we agree, may not be accepted by all, and may not appeal to the sentiments of some groups of people as it is highly controversial.

Banning this film in India is a complete breach of the Fundamental Right of Expression, guaranteed to all people by our Constitution.

This film has not been banned in Europe, paricularly Italy which is the heart of the Catholic Church-how can a democratic country like India consider banning the film?

We appeal to the Government to keep in mind that our country is a democracy, and they cannot take such a drastic step-to ban the film altogether.
