To: George Lucas (Chairman), and Micheline Chau (President and COO) of LucasFilm Ltd.

We the undersigned, state our strong objection to LucasFilm Ltd's recent policy to prevent the actor David Prowse M.B.E. (Member in The Most Excellent Order of the British Empire) from appearing at official LucasFilm Ltd events in the future. While he is known for many roles in his acting career, he is most well known for appearing on screen in the science-fiction films "Star Wars", "Star Wars: The Empire Strikes Back" and "Star Wars: Return of the Jedi" as the character "Darth Vader."

Throughout his career he has represented a figure of great importance to us, the fans, in the history of the franchise. Over the last 33 years he has appeared at many events and continues to make himself available.

Several of the original cast members are appearing at the Star Wars Celebration V without restriction to appear and sign autographs. These include George Lucas, Carrie Fisher, Anthony Daniels and Peter Mayhew. David Prowse being prevented from attending is extremely upsetting to us, the undersigned.

We would like to request one or more of the following:
1) An official statement from LucasFilms Ltd stating the rationalization for the recent change in position regarding the actor David Prowse.
2) A retraction of this policy by LucasFilms Ltd regarding attendance at LucasFilm Ltd. events.
3) An official apology to the actor David Prowse regarding this change for the trouble and effort it has taken him to reschedule his plans to attend future LucasFilm Ltd. events.
4) An invitation to appear at the Star Wars Celebration V in Orlando Florida August 12-15, 2010 at the Orange County Convention Center either to attend an autograph session or make a guest appearance.
