Washington State Ferries made the decision for its maintenance yard to remain in Eagle Harbor located on Bainbridge Island, WA. Their plans include a massive $40 million expansion of this maintenance facility.

The people and the City Council of Bainbridge Island were not involved in this decision. We, the people of Bainbridge Island and neighboring communities listed below, ask WA State Governor Christine Gregoire, the WA state legislators, and the City Council and Mayor of Bainbridge Island to authorize an independent review of this decision.

Our ultimate goal is to have the maintenance facility to be relocated. We wish to Reclaim Our Waterfront for uses to be decided by the people and for the people of Bainbridge Island including public access and water dependent activities.

Reclaim Our Waterfront (ROW) does not support any specific development of the WSF Maintenance Yard property.

ROW believes the decision on how this site is developed belongs to the people of Bainbridge Island.

ROW does not support any kind of residential development on this site.

28. John N | A boatyard with reasonable access for Kitsap County is really needed. It is very difficult and expensive to commute to Seattle, Port Townsend, or Tacoma in order to work on our boats. Besides that, the commute to Seattle ties up the ferry during peak rush
