Reinstate the AFBN as an EFAF member!

It has come to our attention that the Dutch American football federation (AFBN) is no longer a member of the European federation (EFAF). This is the result, it seems, of an ongoing series of events that took place "below the radar" of the avarage player and spectator.

While it may seem that this is just an administrative issue, there are certain consequences for the Dutch players as well. The most obvious of these are that the Amsterdam Crusaders, will be unable to participate in the EFAF Cup games, the Lelystad Commanders will be unable to participate in the Atlantic Cup and the junior team from Gateshead won't be allowed to play in Amsterdam, a game they have already paid their travelling costs for!

Whether or not the board of the Dutch league did send the letter in which they ended the AFBN's membership of the EFAF is of little interest to the Dutch players and spectators at this point. They simply want to play both within Holland in in Europe and as such wish that the AFBN remains a member of the EFAF.

So if you are a player, spectator or other wellwisher of American football in Holland, please take your time to sign this petition, which will be forwarded to the EFAF representatives.
