In the early 1980s there was an excellent, beautifully-made board game called "Dark Tower" published by Milton-Bradley. It featured excellent artwork, attractive set pieces, complex gameplay, and an electronic tower that managed the whole game. Milton-Bradley ceased production of "Dark Tower" when it seemed like electronic games were being replaced by video games, and it has not been published since. Unfortunately, "Dark Tower" offered gameplay that no video game can capture, and it was an excellent way to spend an evening with friends and family- Seated around a board game rather than a television- and the game made you think, made you plan, and was a whole lot of fun! Unfortunately, if you want to buy a copy today, you have no choice but to buy a collectible original that will cost hundreds of dollars. We, the undersigned, believe that "Dark Tower" DOES have a place in today's market, despite the existence of video games, and humbly request that Hasbro (current owner of the Milton-Bradley game library) begin publishing "Dark Tower" again using the same artwork, but perhaps with an updated tower that uses realistic sound effects and music. If Hasbro brings back this classic game, we believe that it will sell well and prove it is worthy of being a permanent part of the Hasbro/Wizards Of The Coast library.
