Request for Processing of Indochinese Parolee Adjustment Applications
Sign Now
We are asking USCIS to process the adjustment of status applications filed under Section 586 of Public Law 106-429 as soon as possible. We have been waiting many years for an opportunity to adjust our status.
Nearly three and a half years ago, Section 586 was passed by Congress and signed by President Clinton. We have just learned that USCIS believes it can process only 500 of the applications in fiscal year 2004 and that most other applicants will have to wait at least another year or two for their green cards to be approved.
We have been stuck in parole status for many years now, unable to make any permanent life plans in this uncertain parole status. We are extremely anxious to move on with our status finally settled. Please consider ways to process our applications as soon as possible so that 5,000 individuals can become permanent residents under Section 586 as Congress intended.
