REQUIRE WARNING LABELS ON POLITICIANS

Weve seen it time and time again. Candidates for public office display a willingness to do almost anything to get elected these days. As a result of so many political candidates making public displays of dishonesty and unethical behavior, law-abiding citizens across the United States suffer.

That suffering becomes especially evident during political campaign seasons when ordinary citizens complain more frequently of diarrhea, headaches, insomnia and irregular heartbeat. Worst-case scenarios when politicians lie to prospective voters and/or deny allegations about which incontrovertible proof of wrongdoing exists often result in multiple organ failure, nausea, shortness of breath and, in some cases, even death among members of the voting public.

Therefore, in an effort to improve communication and reduce the occurrence of illness among voting-age citizens in the United States, the undersigned hereby ask that the Federal Election Commission take a page from the Food and Drug Administration and require candidates for public office to carry warning labels in much the same way many nutritional and pharmaceutical products carry warning labels.

Through the implementation of Warning Labels On Politicians, the signers of this petition believe ordinary citizens can be better informed about the possible side effects associated with the candidates who seek their votes.
