RYAN C KIRKPATRICK punished for behaviors due to a mental illness diagnosis from early on. As time went on and behaviors were more severe the system punished more and more rather than helping a family that could not afford the treatment. Since ryan was locked up at age 19, now 25 kept in segregation the entire time, cut off several times from family and friends. I am not asking he be set free I am asking The State to honor a grant that was agreed upon by The IL DEPT of Mental Health when Ryan was 15 years old for treatment in a private facility however the judge that took over 2 days before sentencing said he would recieve the same trearment in DOC! Such a harsh system,that abuses,the poor mentally ill, healing facilities is what is needed. The addded punishment given, makes the punisher a worst criminal than the person who they have judged !!! They should go to prison !!!!!!

I think that if more people were given the help they need for their mental problems there would be a lot less tragedies happening in the world today.Please give this person the help he needs and deserves!!!
