In 1993, a beautiful manga was created by Naoko Takeuchi. Two months later, the first episode of the anime was released. This anime lasted until 1997, with 200 episodes, five seasons, 3 movies, 5 short films, and over 40 different musical albums. After the anime, a musical and a live action version was created. This show was Sailor Moon.
Sailor Moon was hit all around the world. And in 1995, America was lucky enough to get to enjoy the show. Unfortunately, those who live in America didn't get to enjoy the original show. Names were changed, music was changed, episodes were cut, and the main plot was altered. Bascially, the dubbing company took a beautiful show, butchered it, and aired it. (Take episdoe 45 and 46 of the Japanese version and then watch episode 40 of the English version)
So please, if you love Sailor Moon like I do, you will sign this petition to re-dub* Sailor Moon.
*Dub means the process of replacing the voices of a tv show or movie.
