This petition is for the retention of Ford Lane, Stocksbridge one of our ancient roads and public rights of way in the valley.
We strongly support keeping Ford Lane in it's present position on the flat following the lie of the land and request that Dransfield Developments and Sheffield city Council Planning revisit their plans to include this as part of the planned redevelopment. Ford Lane (PROW) must not be redirected up yet another hill by the side of the corus bypass road and must be kept in its present location which is especially suitable for elderly, disabled and families with pushchairs as part of our planned safe multi user route "the steel valley Way" linking langsett to Deepcar and the TPT & sheffield.

The very name of Ford Lane suggests an ancient route and right of way. It should not be extinguished to make a diversion which is less usable to its users.
