Haroldston House, a 13th century manor house once described as "one of the grandest houses in Tudor Wales" is decaying in a waterlogged field just off the Haverfordwest Bypass. If we don't act soon we'll lose a relic of Pembrokeshires historic past FOREVER.
Overlooked by the powers that be this once glorious site now hosts sheep and cattle when it should and could be a tourist attraction. With such figures as Henry VIII and local plutocrat John Perrot living and visiting the property it has a history we in Pembrokeshire should be proud of. If we don't draw attention to this ruin it WILL rot to nothing while those that have a responsibility to preserve it look on and do NOTHING.
This HAS to change. it will never be returned to it's previous state. but it needs to be cared for and preserved now and, alongside Haverfordwest Priory, can become a ruin that we can all enjoy and learn from.
