Save MVCS Teachers

We strongly urge the School Board and City Council to restore the four teaching positions at Mount Vernon Community School that were eliminated in the 2007 budget. Eliminating teachers will reduce students' opportunity to succeed and increase student:teacher ratios in some classrooms to 24:1! This is not acceptable. Please do everything in your power to restore these teaching positions and help our children to learn.
