Nainital is a beautiful, magical and mythical lake-town nestled in the Indian Himalayas--one of the last of its kind. Nainital, however, is being ravaged by unabated illegal development fueled by rampant corruption. The local authorities, who are entrusted to safeguard this town, completely disregard court orders and conceal legal regulatory documents. Not only is this region's delicate eco-system being destroyed at an alarmingly fast rate, but the very safety of its inhabitants is in grave jeopardy as this town rests on seismic land. The abuse of power here is of such proportions that the local citizenry, while deeply concerned, is frightened to take a stand to stop the illegal building mafia for fear of retaliation.
