Port Coquitlam could potentially close 2 of the city's outdoor leisure pools. This includes the wading pool at Sun Valley Park & Routley Wading Pool.
As a mom of 2 small children, I DO NOT want to see these wading pools close. There are very few places to take toddlers outdoors in the summer, and I know many people that utilize these pools in our community.
The city has hired consultants to do the research on these issues, and they will incorporate comments from the survey (www.portcoquitlam.ca/poolstudy) and open house (March 5th at Leigh Square) into the final report and present it to Council at its Finance and Intergovernmental Committee meeting Apr. 15 and the regular Council meeting on Apr. 22.
PLEASE SIGN THIS PETITION for the pools to NOT be closed.
