I hereby state my opposition to the proposed Development Permit Application DP-095-10 for the property situated at 11176 Gilker Hill Road, Maple Ridge, BC. As a local resident I feel that this proposal must be rejected by staff and Council of the District of Maple Ridge based on the impact this proposal will have on localized parking and traffic flow, vehicle and pedestrian safety in the immediate vicinity, emergency vehicle access both on-site and in the surrounding area as well as the quiet enjoyment of the neighbourhood. I do not feel that this proposal meets the spirit of our Official Community Plan which safeguards existing neighbourhoods to insure that new development should be sensitive to the existing residential and neighbourhood context and stabilize, preserve and enhance the character of neighbourhoods.
