Say No To Mario

Dearest Nintendo:

I and the following signees request of you to stop making Mario and other nintendo franchise spin off games. It is only hurting your reputation and image. For example, Mario Tennis a highly acclaimed game only to be blown off as another childish game. You obviously have the talent to create a great tennis game along the lines of Top Spin, but why don't you? You say you want to go into a new direction, but we as gamers want you to go into a new direction with NEW franchises and new ideas. You can improve the gameplay and graphics but in the end it still feels old and used. Another example is we are on the brink of a seventh Mario Party as well as Mario Soccer, Mario Baseball and Dance Dance Revolution Mario (yet again) edition. There is no reason for this, I would and many others would love to play a REAL nintendo soccer game. On the positive side Nintendo Pennet Chase Baseball is a foot in the right direction.

This is a petition to prove to you that we as gamers want you to use your immense talent on new franchises for ALL ages. You may say that mario and the bunch are for everyone, but you would only be kidding yourselves. Sometimes a cool image makes great gameplay better.
