We the undersigned would like to lodge our objection to the removal of the remaining trees at the Old Clarks Factory, Townsend Road, Shepton Mallet by the firm Tesco to facilitate a second Tesco in the town. We support the protesters who are currently on site peacefully protesting the way this proceedure has been handled and were seeking an accurate plan of the site being drawn up, the trees being inspected and correctly identified and a new plan made.

333. Mark D | It is not good enough to replace mature trees with planting young trees, because saplings cannot support wildlife (insects, birds, etc.) in the same way that mature trees can, and they take years and years to reach maturity, please do not destroy them.
