Dear Stanford students,
As you know, the World Cup will be starting on June 9 and will run through July 2006. This is the largest sporting event in the world.
Currently, the only options for watching the games available to students are the Bechtel International Center or an off campus option such as a pub.
A group of Stanford students is trying to convince the owner of the pub at the Graduate Student Center to open during the World Cup games to show the games live.
There will be two games daily, one at 9 am and the other at 12 noon. All games will be shown on ABC, ESPN and ESPN2.
Would you please sign this petition to ask him to open the pub during those hours and show the games live?
