Sign Coach Shannon To a Fair Contract Now

We the die hard supporters of the University of Miami football program demand that the University of Miami sign head football coach Randy Shannon to a contract immediately. We demand that the contract be of fair market value for a head coach of a prominent NCAA Division 1 football team, and is in line with the contracts of other head coaches not only of other prominent programs in the state of Florida but also those of coaches in the Atlantic Coast Conference. We feel that Coach Shannon has done more than enough in the areas of on-the-field success, student athletes' academics, and player integrity to deserve a fair, yet generous contract offer. As the contract status of a head coach is extremely important to consistency of the program but also in the area of recruiting, it is vitally important that not another day goes by with Coach Shannon's contract status at an impasse. We urge the administration of the University to open up it's wallet and compensate this alum for the outstanding job he has done and for the direction he has this program headed in, and to do it in an expedited manner.
