The Olympic Games for summer and winter are great events for the world to enjoy. But, because there are currently only two versions of the Olympic Games, this means that we can enjoy Olympic Games only every two calender years.
Having Spring Olympic Games and Autumn Olympic Games would provide several benefits. A few of these benefits include:
1. .... People all over the world being able to enjoy Olympic Games on television every calender year.
2. .... More countries would have the opportunity to host Olympic Games, countries that are not able to host Summer or Winter games.
3. ... Countries that are eliminated in the early rounds of voting to become host of any Olympic Games would have opportunites twice as often to enter again to be host.
4 .... The television network(s) showing these games would benefit every year from a large audience for two weeks.
5 .... More athletes around the world would have the opportunity to make their dream come true of being in the Olympic Games.
6 ..... Certain types of games that many people are not familiar with would be on display in these Games for the world to see, because these games would be different from the games of the Winter and Summer games.
These games would be held in the odd-numbered calender years, with the Autumn Olympic Games being held the year after the Winter Olympic Games, and the Spring Olympic Games being held the year after the Summer Olympic Games.
The Spring Olympic Games would be held in the month of May, and the Autumn Olympic Games would be held in the month of November.
A hypothetical year-by-year schedule would go like this:
August 2008: Summer Olympic Games
May 2009: Spring Olympic Games
February 2010: Winter Olympic Games
November 2011: Autumn Olympic Games
Having Olympic Games every year would bring much enthusiasm, fun, and friendly competitive spirit for anyone who loves to watch or play Olympic games.
