This is a petition to bring back the Kilkenny Beer Festival made famous during the 1960's in the city of Kilkenny, Ireland.
This great festival brought tens of thousands of people to the city of Kilkenny. In these dire economic times, these people would bring much needed money to our city, plus restoring the festival to its former glory.
In this the year in which we celebrate 300 years of brewing Kilkenny's world renowned ale, Smithwick's, it is only appropriate that we do the celebrations in style by bringing back the Beer Festival.
We want to see the Kilkenny Borough Council, the Kilkenny County Council, Diageo, the pub trade within Kilkenny and anyone else involved get this festival back up and running, for the good of Kilkenny and all its citizens.
