Fifa is a game that tries to give joy to everybody who plays it. And a feature for editing player stats as "EA got them wrong", was screamed after. Now while this is a cool feature for some, its a devastating feature for others. It is a fine feature for offline playing but NOT for online games.
There are a lot of people out there that enjoy editing their players stats and that is fine, but under no circumstances should they be allowed to use these edited players online. The fact that you can edit squads and make your own squad is fine, but if one edits one of their players stats and plays online it will be very hard to catch. Remove it or FLAG anyone who plays with boosted player stats online. Just like at the start of the game it comes up "Custom formation 4" instead of 4-1-2-1-2.
I don't see why its even remotely defendable to have ONLINE? Edit all you want but don't allow it ONLINE in PLAY A FRIEND or any form.
There are sites set up like www.fifaleagues.net that take the "Manager Mode" experience and bring it online. Full leagues set up where you as a manager can build a squad, based on player transfers, wages, ticket receipts, stadium capacity, Champions League, Europa League, and Domestic Cups in all respective Countries (England, Italy, Spain, Germany and France).
But at the heart of all this lays "Play A Friend". And where there is competition, there is cheating.
If we get enough supporters of this we might be able to convince EA of letting go of this feature that lets you play with boosted players online! Its a longshot but worth a try. Please tell your friends playing fifa about this.
