Stop Green Day's Wreckage Upon Music

We, the undersigned, wish to stop Green Day from recording and singing. We are disgusted with the type of music that they have spread throughout the United States. They have created a terrible influence upon music and its crucial evolution.
Punk was its own rebellious and outcast sort of art. Nowadays, bands like Green Day are trying to reestablish punk by setting it as part of our mainstreem. Green Day was the first of bands that morphed the sound of punk into what today is called modern punk or sometimes emo. They use the name punk when they really aren't.
We are petitioning Green Day for two main reasons:
1. They have seriously torn apart the art of punk.
2. They are now some of the biggest "posers" in the world because they are trying to be punk, but they have more or less killed the art.
