Stop internet censorship in India

Background:The Department of Telecom of the Government of India has issued orders to the telecom companies and Internet Service Providers (ISPs) to block entire websites, various accounts on a number of websites and other online content. This includes, but is not limited to URLs, websites, blogs, titter accounts, facebook accounts and pages, HTML img tags and youtube videos.
The government did not follow its own procedures in implementing the ban. For example, it did not give any prior notice to those hosting the content before implementing the ban.
Motivation:The internet censorship is politically motivated. It's no secret that the mainstream Indian media is a puppet of its sponsors and special interests who support the UPA (United Progressive Alliance) government in India.
The media, including television and newspapers, project the content that is pro-government. The online content is the last remaining pillar for factual content and news, and hence is being clamped down by the central government.
Petition:We petition the Government of India to lift the ban on online content.
We also petition the United Nations, the Government of United States of America and its representatives, free speech organizations, pro-democracy organizations, as well as internet companies to pressure the Indian government to stop internet censorship.
