This petition is made to make a healthier America by making smoking illegal. There are many deadly toxins in cigarettes that can cause cancer, not just in your lungs but anywhere in your body. This is because when you inhale the toxins of cigarettes into your lungs, the toxins go through the porous walls in your lungs and are absorbed into your bloodstream and taken to all parts of your body. Some of these toxins are toxins such as acetone, acetone is an active ingredient in nail polish remover, ammonia is also a chemical, the tobacco industry says it adds flavor, but scientists argue that it helps you absorb more nicotine so you continue to smoke cigarettes. Arsenic is a highly poisonous chemical in cigarettes. Arsenic is also used to make insecticides. Benzene is used to make pesticides, detergent, and even gasoline. Butane is a key ingredient in gasoline. Cadmium causes damage to major organs and remains in your body for years. Embalmers use formaldehyde, yet another chemical in cigarettes, to preserve dead bodies. Propylene Glycol is used to make anti-freeze, and turpentine is often used as paint thinner.
Above is listed only some of the thousands of chemicals in cigarette smoke and second-hand smoke. Children are extremely vulnerable to second-hand smoke and usually they cannot avoid it. Smoking can cause very much damage to your body, but even more so when it is inhaled second-hand. Smokers have the advantage of a filter, but this advantage is not provided to those who are receiving it second-hand.
