Stop Theft At The Official Sims Exchange

I have started this petition because I want Maxis and Electronic Arts to do something about custom content theft. Last year, Maxis opened the Sims Exchange http://thesims2.ea.com/exchange/ which was meant as a place for people to share their own custom content such as houses and sims they made for "The Sims 2". There have been problems before, but now the majority of the content on there was stolen, most of the time without credit from the original creators. Many artists have no idea that their content such as clothes, hair and houses are even on there. The artists in the Sims Community spend a lot of time to make things to expand the game and are kind enough to share their stuff. When other people steal that work and claim they made it, the artists get upset and some have even quit sharing their content for that reason. The people who create custom content for the Sims and the Sims 2 are the reason the games and expansions sold so many copies and have remained so popular all these years. All we're asking is that you do something to stop people from stealing other peoples' hard work. For example, Maxis could add a button on the Exchange that allows people to report stolen content and report who the original creator is and where the original download is. Something needs to be done about this problem.
