Flooding in the Pascack Valley Region continues to be a serious threat to residents, rescue personnel, and property values. Over the years it's become more widespread, frequent and severe in nature.
The undersigned do hereby support Senate Bill S 54. Loosening restrictions on certain county or municipal stream cleaning activities. This bill is necessary to allow municipalities and counties to properly, quickly, and economically clean and de-silt streams to help prevent serious flooding that is causing health hazards, personal injury, environmental hazards and property damage.
