For over 130 years we have been waiting, yet one of the major activity centres of Melbourne still does not get its railway! The Manningham City Council is the only metro council without some form of railway line, light or heavy. Doncaster instead has buses that are new and frequent, but get stuck in traffic! So the area has resorted to cars, therefore creating mass congestion on local roads and the Eastern Freeway.
