TO: PRESIDENT GEORGE W. BUSH and HONORABLE MEMBERS OF THE UNITED STATES CONGRESS
WE, the undersigned wives, parents, family members and friends of members of the United States Navy, Marines, Army, Air Force and Coast Guard beseech you to honor our loved ones who are currently involved both here and abroad as part of Operation Enduring Freedom. Our loved ones are faithfully performing their duties as they willingly chose to do when they swore their Oath of Enlistment. However, many of these men and women are being humiliated and harassed by persons acting in the name of peace. Our military have been spit upon, called warmongers and baby killers, families have been harassed as their cars with young children in them entered military installations. Our servicemen and women fear for their safety as well as the safety of their families from the very people who are exercising the very freedoms they defend every day. Our brave men and women in uniform deserve the support of their country, even as they are fighting to maintain the freedoms of these same people who are assaulting them. A message needs to be sent letting these people know that this treasonous behavior is not acceptable and will not be tolerated. Regardless of your position on a possible war with Iraq, our sailors, soldiers, marines and airmen need to know the United States government is supporting them.

This is as wrong to do as it was in the past. We need our military in full force. Even if you do not believe in war, one does not display such ignorance towards the families and men who protect us.
