We read that people aren't getting the new Aaron Sorkin show Studio 60 on the Sunset Strip.
It is "too Smug", "too inside", "too pompous", that it's "drunk it's own koolaid", that people have a hard time connecting with the characters, that it is "un-nuanced, facile, and simplistic", that it is a smart person's dumb.
We say not so. We say that we enjoy having something other than the Junk-food diet of quasi-reality, and basest of all human emotion TV foisted upon us on a weekly basis. We say that the numbers are wrong and do not accurately reflect who is watching this show. We say that there is a community of viewers out there who are all too willing to give this show its attention.
We are they!
