We, members of the BLE, RCTC and subsequently, members of the UTU and later BMWE joined the TEAMSTERS to forge a conference to create a Strong Rail Union. Presently, with the announcement of a Memorandum of Settlement for Running Trade Employees at Canadian Pacific Railway with a term of five years we can see the terms of the Canadian Resolution dated September 17, 2003, fading and our goal in strength of unification with it.
We, the undersigned RTEs, insist that the term of the current MOS be revised to a term of three years, maintaining step with other rail Unions and facilitating co-ordination with the remaining Canadian Pacific Railway Teamsters Canada unions. We see strength through co-operative collective bargaining within our Union as the most effective way towards protecting our jobs and thus our livelihoods.

even contracts have a shelf life 3 yrs max any longer it starts to stink the place up and looks like theres a lota work to do as far as whats in that contract just say NO ! because we all know you can do better than that !

union leadership that is stuck in the stone age with soring gas/inflation rates and the means to survive in an economy that gouges. Selling out new employees and grandfathered employees is not a bargaining chip.
