TED University Edition

Objective of petition: Acquiring TED's consent to fund and produce a student geared edition of their annual TED conferences that is affordable and accessible to college/graduate students.

Dear TED,





Without a doubt, the concept of TED is absolutely BRILLIANT and we are more than content to watch the TEDtalks. But not many of us in university will ever have the distinct privilege (or sheer sense of awe and wonder) of receiving an invitation to attend a TED conference soon, yet alone afford to attend.





What we are proposing is that TED produces an accessible and affordable edition of their annual conferences directed towards collegiate/graduate student attendees and young inquisite minds. There are so many amazing young minds out there (as evident by the undersigned) who clearly have the ambition and interest to keep up with the valuable information and ideas that TED has to share. Think of it. The future of the world's idea database being passed on to 1,000 young adult attendees so that they can collaborate and prepare for a better tomorrow with the best information and concepts available. We need to acquire this knowledge because believe it or not, we have the energy and drive to get things done in this world. Combined with wisdom from the generations before us, there's literally many things that can be accomplished for the common good.
