The Brian May KBE

Ever since I was little I have always been a Queen fan. After seeing a tribute band, Magic, A Kind of Queen, I fell in love with guitars, then naturally started to look up to Brian May. After researching him on the internet I fell in love with him too.

After a while I realised he is like no other rock star! Here are my reasons why I love him so much!:

[x] He is known as The Guitar God! which he most certainly is! He started out on the Ukelele at the age of 6 so he's played for 53 years!
[x] He wrote 22 of the Top 20 Queen hits! he's written a lot of my favourite songs!
[x] He's also known as 'The Nice Guy of Rock 'n' Roll'. He's probably the only rock star who HAS NOT EVER smoked or taken drugs! AND he doesn't like getting drunk!
[x] He has never been arrested!
[x] He is one Tough Cookie! He survived having Gangrene, Hepatitis, a Duodenal Ulcer and Depression!
[x] He was a Patron of The British Bone Marrow Donor Association (BBMDA) before the charity was taken over by the National Health
[x] He's Intelligent! He's got a BSc (Bachelor of Science) and a Doctorate! He is also working on his old thesis for a PhD!
[x] He's not Fashionable!
[x] He's got a personality to die for! He's friendly, sweet, shy, soft-spoken, caring etc.
[x] He had a cat! Called Squeaky!
[x] He's got the dudiest hair!
[x] He made his guitar with his dad 43 years ago! And he still has it today!
[x] He's a Commander of the British Empire! (CBE)
[x] He publically gave blood to save a young lads life (unfortunatly he wasn't a match!)
[x] He interacts straight with his fans by writing on his soapbox every so often.

There's is probably a million more reasons, but it goes to show what a strong character he has because he never gave in to the rock star life and smoked or took drugs, and I don't think he has the recognition he deserves. I know he's already got a CBE but I think He deserves a knighthood. He is one amazing guy and such an inspiration to me. He is my hero.

So, if you feel the same way as I do then sign this petetion so I can send it off to the Cabinet Office.
