The Sims 2 Multiplayer

This is a petition to convince EA and Maxis to make a multiplayer add-on for The Sims 2. The Sims Online has been going for many years now since its initial release on December 17th, 2002 but it is losing popularity. Sure it just opened a new city named Test Center 3 but it is losing ground to other MMOs like Second Life. However making the Sims 2 PC and Mac version multiplayer could help EA and Maxis gain some actual standing ground here. Hopefully it would be free but if not there should at least be a free membership because $9.99 a month is too much for a lot of gamers. We like to buy the CD and play with no fees, which is why Guild Wars has flourished so much. If EA and Maxis do not someone will, and Maxis will get no accreditation for it besides the game.
