Time Limit For United States Nationals

Attention YuGiOh Players...

Recently it has come to my attention that time limit is becoming an extreme issue in large scale tournaments such as Shonen Jumps. I personally believe that Time Limit should only be an extreme and that in an age of tournament filled with Goat Control 40 minutes is not sufficient. My goal of this is to increase the time limit for the United States National tournament from 40 minutes to at least 50 minutes. I know UpperDeck can claim that it will take too long in tournaments which already take long enough, but at an event as important as Nationals I would certainly not want to lose because of a technicality of time. The Top 8 at Nationals should be formed of the best players who earned their wins, not the player who got lucky enough to avoid losing because time limit was called or the player who drew into their stuff for sudden death first. When it comes down to two good players the match can take the 40 minute time limit and still have plenty to go, but in a 10 minute span the 3rd game would assuredly be finished. If not then at that time time limit could be called. Honestly, the only decks which legitimately make it to 50 minutes would involve stall vs. stall and in that case time would be needed. This is all just from the most recent event. Also, this is in late rounds where the best players are assuredly left. Now, if you pay attention to the fact that these are 1 match out of the approximately 235 matches being played at the time of those matches it really makes it apparent as to how many matches time makes an impact on.

Remember, even if you are not a resident of the United States does not mean you cannot sign. If UpperDeck starts with a 50 minute time limit at Nationals then other Nationals and Worlds will most likely have this time limit to help players all over the world. Alot of players complain about the time limit but nothing ever gets done, this is YOUR chance to get something done but nothing can even take place without you signing this petition.
