To all people, governments and organizations for justice and humanity,

We, the undersigned, are speaking up to the injustices and inhumane treatment that has befallen the people of Egypt.

We hold these truths to be self-evident, that all men are created equal, that they are endowed by their Creator with certain inalienable rights, that among these are life, liberty and the pursuit of happiness. That to secure these rights, governments are instituted among men, deriving their just powers from the consent of the governed.

With these words, Divinely inspired to Thomas Jefferson, a nation was born unto earth that would represent governance by the people and for the people.

This week, the people of Egypt were Divinely inspired to unite their efforts in peaceful protest of the tyranny they have been subjected to for years

And now as they protest peacefully so their grievances may be heard and addressed, they are met with imprisonment, tear gas, police clubs and gunshots. To bring it even closer to home for us in America, the first government murders as retaliation to the people came in Suez, a city eerily similar to the city where the first massacre of the American Revolution took place Boston harbor. And today, as our democratic and free nation proves those who lost their lives in the Boston Massacre did not die in vain we must also ensure that the Suez Massacre victims shall not have died in vain.

It is in our own interest as Americans, that a democratic Egypt that is freed from tyranny will produce the most favorable Middle East for us as Americans. Nothing could be more secure for us as Americans in the Middle East than nations that are happy with their governments. Once the governments are legitimately the choice of the people, radicalization will become marginalized. In a Middle East that is free of tyranny, it becomes much harder for a radical/militant recruiter to find a disenchanted young man or woman who will buy their pitch that destruction is the only path. When young men and women across the Middle East see that peaceful resistance IS PRODUCING THE RESULTS THAT YEARS OF TERRORISM DID NOT, the educated, the intelligent and the religious will become near impossible to recruit by radicals.

Let us support a nations birth like those who supported our nations birth two hundred and thirty four years ago. It is time for Democracy in Egypt. Support the Egyptian peoples peaceful call to change. Support the commencement of a Middle East that is genuinely, not superficially, friendly to our American nation.

Now is the time for the world to know what America really stands for!

We ask that human rights organizations assist in bringing justice and peace to the Egyptian people. We ask the UN to assist in providing security to the innocent, peaceful citizens of Egypt that need medical attention, and security from a regime that unjustly arrests citizens, tortures the innocent, and spreads misery and hopelessness to Egyptian families. We ask for the intervention of the United States government, to bring fundamental freedoms shared by the rest of the world, to Egypt, so that Egypt may grow and thrive, free and in peace.
