To Slow Speed Limits in Residential Neighbourhoods with high child population

Over the last 18 months, we have witnessed many close calls within Spruce Grove (especially in residential areas with new construction/expansion) as cars not only are speeding, but are also non-responsive to children playing in the vicinity. We have approached the City of Spruce Grove with no avail. Our goal is to reduce the speed limit from 50km/h in Deer Park and other areas around Spruce Grove to 30km/h. Local police authorities have also warned the City that there is no way a car traveling at 50km/h can stop in time to not fatally injure a child.
