Tom Cruise Apology

We petition for a formal apology to all of womenkind from Tom Cruise for his misguided and incorrect statements about post-partum depression and the use of anti-depressants. We feel that Tom Cruise in irresponsible in making medical statements without any medical authority, and because of his celebrity he has improperly and mistakenly gives off the illusion of having more authority than he does.

We would like Tom Cruise to admit that he has absolutely no first-hand knowledge about post-partum depression and that his opinion, while not only uneducated, is also highly offensive to those women who are battling post-partum depression.

We would like Tom Cruise to be made aware of the fact that every woman he convinces to forgo medication, may be the woman who injures or even kills her children and/or herself.

We would like Tom Cruise to be given mandatory community service in programs that specifically target women's health issues.

We would like Tom Cruise to acknowledge the inherently sexist nature of such statements in that it completely invalidates women's health issues and concerns.

Without this formal apology, we ask for an organized boycott of the motion picture, The War of the Worlds, starring Tom Cruise, because Tom Cruise and those who support him should realize that he cannot use his status as an A-list celebrity to spread erroneous propaganda for his religion. Tom Cruise and Hollywood should be held accountable -- and they should realize that his fanbase will not support his films, if he continues to offend in this manner.
