We, the undersigned, urge the Trentonian to provide responsible journalism, monitoring and ongoing supervision of its electronic public forums. These forums on the Trentonian's website have become a haven and breeding ground for anonymous hate speech without the daily holding individual posters responsible for demeaning posts and language against African Americans, Hispanics and others, within the city of Trenton and Mercer County, NJ.
These inflammatory, erroneous and irresponsible postings regarding the Trentonian newspaper's coverage of the City of Trenton are a detriment to redevelopment, revitalization and the economic recovery goals of the City as a whole.
With this petition of 1500 signatures, residents of the City of Trenton are calling for a class action lawsuit against the Trentonian, its parent company, the Journal Register and its fiduciary agents for promoting and assisting in the promotion of racist, biased, prejudiced and unfounded stereotypical views of the City's predominantly minority population.
This class action lawsuit, pending additional expert legal advice will be based on NJ Product Liability Law governing the liability of manufacturers, wholesalers, distributors and vendors, for damages caused by dangerous or defective products.
Thank you for your signature and your support. Please forward this petition to anyone that you believe will support our cause and for more information, please contact Tyrone A. Gaskins at [email protected]
