On the night of Saturday, November 5, 2005, the university of Miami Hurricanes sent the nation and astounding message; simultaneously, the sports media feasted royally, as they ate six months worth of propoganda.
THE U (university of miami) traveled to blacksberg for a showdown vs the Va. tech Hokies(what the hell is a hokie anyway). The game took place in a stadium which ESPN's own Kirk Herbstreit claimed had "the most proactive crowd, they don't only cheer during or after a good play; they make noise just at the sight of their players."
Reitterating the outcome seems meaningless, but the Canes won convincingly.
This petition asks that the NCAA strike THE U's first game of the season should Miami replay FSU in an ACC title game. Given the outcome of that game, should Miami win, they will most likely be first in the BCS standings, and retain eligibility of what they deserve : A NATIONAL TITLE.
Why should the NCAA comply? Several BIG EAST conference teams relocated and rescheduled with short notice; Which in turn made college athletics a more valuable and marketable item.
To the NCAA : The University of Miami sacrificed for you by rescheduling which cost precious preperation. The notice of this Petition gives you plenty of time to do your rescheduling, make the same sacrifice, and show that you truly believe in the fairness of regulations for Student Athletes.
