Whereas APUS has recently run an extensive campaign with massive community support to secure the Margaret Fletcher space.
Whereas there was no consultation by the University, no apology, no acknowledgement of the impact on part-time students.
Whereas we consider this space, attached to Woodsworth College, our permanent home! It is child-friendly, has a large meeting area, a huge front lot, a kitchen and office/programming space.
Whereas APUS does not support a student levy for buildings and operating costs since these should be the sole responsibility of the University and Government.
We call for an immediate moratorium on the eviction of APUS from the Margaret Fletcher Building, 100 Devonshire Place and an assurance of space permanence.
We, the undersigned, call on the University Administration to respect the right of APUS to represent and serve the needs of part-time undergraduate students at the University of Toronto.
We call on Woodsworth College to re-affirm its commitment and support for the work of APUS (44\% of WDW students are APUS members).
We call on the University of Toronto to stop working against the interest of Student Unions and their elected representatives.

Formed in 1968, APUS offers a variety of programs and services, and provides political representation to all part-time undergraduate students at the University of Toronto. Last year, over 6,000 winter and 11,000 summer students pursued part-time studies in every college at all three campuses of the University.
Students represented by APUS are proud members of the Canadian Federation of Students, local 97.
