With approximately a 1000 customers in Llanberis and a tourist hotspot, there is no vodafone 3g coverage in Llanberis. Orange network has limited coverage, but at the moment, not enough for the majority of residents to change service providers. having 3g coverage should benefit the local community regarding finding services via the internet and smartphone apps.
Local businesses could develop their own smartphone apps to provide information to potential customers (tourists). When out and about in Llanberis, it is virtually impossible to access the internet.
