We the Undersigned ask that the NFL Release Super Bowls and Other Classic Games to DVD

We the fans of the NFL ask for the NFL to release Super Bowls and other classic games on DVD as they were broadcast.

We are not calling this an extension of the "Classic Games" or "Greatest Games" trademark as broadcast on NFL Network throughout the year. Fans for the past few years have been asking and demanding that at least the Super Bowls be released on DVD in their entirety.

However, each team can be covered in a limited edition release that highlights their greatest games including Super Bowl victories. For example, a non-super bowl winning team such as the Detroit Lions would have such games as the victory over Pittsburgh on Thanksgiving or a Thanksgiving victory over the Minnesota Vikings a few years earlier. Whatever the case, the NFL and NFL Films can have fun with these releases and to the point that fans can vote on team sites to determine what matchups they want. The NFL can even make releases rivalry specific such as Vikings/Packers or Steelers/Browns. Even the infamous "Heidi" game can be released on DVD.

The point is that many people would love a release of full games featuring their favorite team as originally broadcast. That is proving to be clear with MLB and A&E Networks combining to release classic MLB games including full World Series sets and other classic games. NASCAR has even gotten into the act with the release of classic Daytona 500's in their entirety inclucing the 1998 race and others.

My point is that the fans will snap up copies of full NFL games including Super Bowls if the NFL releases the full original broadcast of them to DVD.
Once this process gets started, NFL Films will wonder how they once lived without the added revenue.
