Microsoft Corporation claims it is listening to feedback concerning the availability of Microsoft Windows XP Media Center Edition. Listed below
are those that support the retail release of any of the following products:
(1) Media Center Upgrade for WinXP Pro
(2) Media Center Upgrade for all versions of WinXP
(2) Media Center (standalone)
In addition, the package could be made available with or without the
TV tuner card/remote.
YOU UNDERSTAND THAT ATI TV TUNERS DO NOT HAVE HARDWARE DECODING AND
THEREFORE CAN NOT BE, NOR EVER WILL BE, USABLE FOR THE TV FUNCTIONS
OF THE CURRENT SOFTWARE. ONLY TV TUNERS WITH HARDWARE DECODING
SUCH AS WINTV-PTR's WILL BE SUPPORTED.
YOU ALSO UNDERSTAND THAT WINXP HOME WILL NOT WORK, AND THAT THE BUNDLE
MUST UPGRADE YOU TO WINXP PRO, OR YOU MUST ALREADY HAVE WINXP PRO
