Worksafe Victoria your mistakes injures workers and their representives

 I  think it not reasonable that WorkSafe inspectors should conduct themselves in accordance with the provisions of the legislation that they administer and have an understanding for the differences between an act of parliament (OHS Act 2004) and any associates regulations (OHS Regulations 2007) as wll as Worksafe material when they are tasked to investigate indictable offences on behalf of the workers of Victoria. They should also have the necessary skills and knowledge and be able to apply the rule to educate and enforce the OHS legislation as well as support HSRs and educate employers.

Given the hit and miss approach that some WorkSafe representatives (including it would seem senior operational management) have to their administration and enforcement of Victoria’s health and safety laws WorkSafe should reasonably anticipate that whenever its failings negatively impact upon the lives and health and safety of workers and HSR’s that one should be  grateful for WorkSafe’s mere existence.Worksafe Victoria your mistakes are inuring workers and di empowering Health and Safety Representaives. Its time for Worksafe to get it's act togeather and start doing the job  the job of a regulator.
