Since the untimely death of Eddie Guerrero I have been thinking that the world of Professional Wrestling needed to change. After reading an article on PWInsider.com regarding the same thing I decided to try to do something about it and make a petition to the WWE in honor of the late Eddie Guerrero.
On MSNBC earlier this week Vince McMahon said something regarding the tributes to Eddie Guerrero and I quote "There's nothing you really can do that measures up to what Eddie's influences and contributions were to this business". In part Vince's statement is true, however there are some people, such as myself, who believe there is one thing that can be done which will measure up to Eddie's influences and contributions as much as humanly possible. If the WWE were to implement programs, tests and plans for the wrestlers to insure a tragedy like this could be avoided in the future that would be the greatest tribute of all.
It is no secret that the cause of Eddie's death was due to his past with drug abuse and many other wrestlers have died from such abuse such as Louie Spicolli, Anthony Durante (Pitbull #2) and unfortunately many others so it is with this petition we as professional wrestling fans urge the WWE to put an end to the tragedies of wrestlers dying young.
