As students of USD 305, we feel that we are recieving too much homework. We believe that students perform better with more leisure time to relax and recuperate after a stressful day at school, not spending their afternoons working on homework that they may or may not understand. From personal experience, excess homework creates stress that causes students to become more desperate not to learn, but to pass. Therefore, they may resort to such unsavory methods as cheating, which will cause test scores to drop. However, it is understood that homework itself is beneficial to reinforcement of knowledge. Therefore, we respectfully request that homework not be eliminated, but instead be limited to what A. may be finished in class or B. may be finished in less than or equal to two hour by a normal student.
